Angry Birds goes to Mars ; Pigs hijack ‘Curiosity’

The popular game Angry Birds that set flight through space is now landing on Mars. Yes, the birds will land on Mars to look for eggs and save ‘Curiosity’ rover. With the help of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) this new game episode of Angry Birds Space have become possible.
Google Play marketplace for Android said, “NASA and Angry Birds team up for the most epic episode yet! The piggies have hijacked the Curiosity Mars Rover — but instead of searching for ice crystals, they’re looking for eggs!”
According to Google Play, this new game update will have new features such as “20 fiery levels on the red planet,” along with two antenna egg levels – as well as the new “astronaut pig.” Angry Birds in this game episode will have to face and dodge “explosive volcanoes and asteroids.”
Google Play added, “Find three hidden rovers and landers to open special bonus levels and discover more about the NASA missions!”
A technology related news site, Mashable in their report said, “NASA helped Rovio create the trailer by giving them footage taken by the Mars Rover Curiosity from the planet’s surface. In addition, the additional levels will include NASA vehicles as part of the architecture.”
David Weaver, associate administrator for communications at NASA Headquarters in Washington quoted saying, “Rovio is teaching huge new audiences about NASA’s missions to Mars thanks to this collaboration,” and added, “It’s a great way to introduce both kids and adults to the wonders of the planet in a fun and entertaining way.”
This is the second timw that Rovio and NASA collaborated to make a new Angry Birds game. Last March of this year when Angry Birds Space debuted, NASA Flight Engineer Don Pettit demonstrated the physics behind Angry Birds Space.
Peter Vesterbacka the chief marketing officer of Rovio Entertainment said, “We’re huge NASA fans, and we were all cheering the Mars Curiosity rover as it touched down,” and added, “So, working together on the Mars update was a perfect fit.”
