To straight against bullying and in order not to hide anything to anyone, CNN‘s news anchor ‘Anderson Cooper 360‘ made a public statement revealing his real sexual identity that he is a gay.
Cooper told the ‘The Daily Beast‘, “The fact is, I’m gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn’t be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud.”
The 45-year-old anchor of CNN continued saying, “There continue to be far too many incidences of bullying of young people, as well as discrimination and violence against people of all ages, based on their sexual orientation, and I believe there is value in making clear where I stand.”
Even though, Cooper’s family and friends already knew this fact about him, he still insisted in revealing his self publicly believing that there is value in doing it.
He said, “I have always been very open and honest about this part of my life with my friends, my family, and my colleagues. In a perfect world, I don’t think it’s anyone else’s business, but I do think there is value in standing up and being counted.”
However, knowing the media industry, Cooper 360 still hoped for some “personal space”. Though he said, “I do think visibility is important, more important than preserving my reporter’s shield of privacy”.
An honest to goodness heart shows how comfortable it is to show everyone else that is rather good to tell everything straight from your lips than keeping it.
