Typhoon Quiel Updates



Typhoon Quiel continues moving towards the province of Cagayan and Isabela region and has intensified further, weather forecaster at Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported on Friday.

PAGASA said on its weather bulletin, “typhoon has gained strength and is now packing winds of 150 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kph.”

PAGASA said, “Typhoon Quiel is expected to make landfall in Cagayan early Saturday morning”

Meanwhile, Typhoon “Quiel” is expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon and will bring scattered to widespread rains over Southern Luzon and Western Visayas, according to PAGASA.
