“I took the wrong medicine. And then nagka-gastritis ako. Pero okay na ako ngayon,” Daniel said in an interview made by PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).

Daniel said that he took the medicine caused by dust and rain while playing football yesterday. When PEP ask who gave him the medicine, the hunk model says it was her fiancee, Heart Evangelista, but Daniel says it was his mistake drinking the med.

Daniel quoted saying, “Si Heart! Pero sabi niya, ‘No, don’t drink. Don’t drink.’ Kasi ano, e, expired!”

According still in the report, Daniel took the med even with Heart’s warning ’cause he’ll have a shooting for a new commercial endorsement the following morning. He took the risk for he thought that it will somehow work.

He said, “Pero ano, bukas [the next day], mero’n akong commercial [shoot] na bago. Bagong endorsement ko. So, parang I needed [to get well], di ba? Kailangan ko uminom ng gamot, so ininom ko. Then I started to feel bad kasi it was really strong and I didn’t eat anything. So I started feeling bad. That’s why I went straight to the hospital. Pero, okay lang ako ngayon.”

To make it short, the expired medicine has nothing to do with Daniels’ gastritis, it was due to his empty stomach when he took the medicine.
