Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said, “the rain that fell on parts of Metro Manila are not from a cyclone but from an intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).” But there’s a new LPA approaching the country and may enter to Philippine territory on Saturday.
PAGASA forecaster Galang said in an interview on dzBB radio, “Ang binabantay nating LPA sa ngayon sa north ng Caroline Islands at inasahang papasok ng Philippine area of responsibility Biyernes ng gabi o bukas ng umaga.”
The LPA to be codenamed “Pedring” upon entering the Philippine area of responsibility, was estimated at about 1,320 km east of the Visayas.
Meanwhile, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) is now preparing for the entry of Tropical Depression Pedring.
