Smart Gilas Pilipinas, though they  not made it to the championship of the 2011 William Jones Cup that was held at the Hsinjhuang Stadium in New Taipei City, they still caught the 3rd place.

After weighing their strength to win the 3rd Place, PHL‘s team won over the Chinese Taipei for the second time. They’ll definitely take back home the 3rd place on the 2011 William Jones Cup.

The Philippines National team “Smart Gilas Pilipinas” have defeated the Chinese Taipei with a final score of 82-72 (win-lose) for the 3rd Place rank on the said event .

After wining the third placer on the 2011 William Jones Cup, Smart Gilas Pilipinas is again preparing for their next game but now on FIBA Asian Championship this coming September in Wuhan, China, so they can get slot in the 2012 London Olympics.
