David Archuleta, 20, a runner up on American Idol Season 7, is here again in the Philippines for a concert that will be held today at Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
The young singer have arrived at NAIA Airport yesterday afternoon, but was held up for a few minutes at Terminal 1 because of a fan who asked a post for some pictures with him.
Usually an artist may feel uncomfortable in a way, but for David, what happen on the airport is only a proof to the enthusiasm and support of his Filipino fans.
David said on his interview with Yahoo! Philippines OMG!, “It’s funny. It’s usually like after when you get the luggage and stuff when the people come. I haven’t even come out (of the airport) yet… It’s something very unique to the Philippines.”
He stated that it’s the Filipino fans that keep him coming back here in the Philippines. If I am not mistaken it was last 2009 that David held here in the country his first concert with “American Idol” season 7 winner, David Cook, at the SM Mall of Asia open ground. And last year, he returned to the Philippines to promote his third studio album, “The Other Side of Down.”

He added, “There’s something about the fans that’s just so different. They’re very energetic, enthusiastic. They’re very dedicated. It’s something that shocks and surprises me every time.”
