Public smoking and wearing sunglasses are now ban for Vietnam Police Officers



While our very own MMDA (Metropolitan Manila Development Authority) is banning every utility transportation drivers from smoking in public, Vietnam now banned their Police Officers from smoking in public too. But not just smoking that they have ban, even wearing sunglasses while on duty is now prohibited for Vietnam’s Policemen.

Vietnam police are now banned from wearing sunglasses and public smoking, as part of their campaign to keep appropriate manners while on duty, according to Vietnamnet.vn yesterday.

Instructed by the country’s Ministry of Public Security, Vietnamese policemen are not allowed to read books, chat, and to make or answer phone calls not related to their job.

Covered in the new law that was said to be published at Tuoi Tre, a Vietnamese newspaper, traffic policemen should not also hide behind the trees and later to catch and fine passengers.

Elaborating the news, Vietnam’s Policemen are also being prohibited from drinking alcohol while on duty and at the police station, and even banned from being heavily drunk anywhere and any time.
